One Take Super 8 Event

The One Take Super 8 Event (OTS8) began in 2000, with 20 filmmakers each shooting a single reel of Super 8 film, which then premiered to an audience without the filmmakers seeing their work beforehand. All the films were shown as shot. No cuts. No splices. The popularity of this non-competitive festival has allowed it to return each year with more filmmakers participating. To date over 1000 films have been created for over 50 One Take Super 8 Events across North America!

Bonjour mes amis!

Montreal, your time has come.

Our good friends and comrades in celluloid, Double Negative collectif, have launched their call for submissions for their One Take Super 8 Event this spring. Check out details on their facebook page. It's been a couple years since their last event, but you don't want to miss out. Whether you're a maker or a watcher, some of the most impressive super 8 films have emerged from their events.

Registration dates have passed, but you must lock May 27th in your calendar to see these works premiere at La Salla Rosa.

For super 8 fans in Saskatchewan, big news about to break. hint. mark off the first week of June in your calendars. Makers, dust of your cameras.
